In a touching display of international solidarity, American rap sensations Kodak Black and Lil Durk have come forward to pay their respects to the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, known by his stage name Mohbad, who tragically passed away last week.
During an emotional Instagram live session with his fans, Kodak Black expressed his grief over the untimely demise of the 27-year-old artist. He revealed that he had recently stumbled upon Mohbad’s social media page just a few days before the unfortunate event, underscoring the impact and reach of Mohbad’s music even beyond Nigeria’s borders.
He said, “R.I.P to Mohbad. Kodak you were his neighborhood hero till he passing. Damn!
“What’s so crazy right now is I just ran across this n*gga’s page this week -few days ago-
“Sleep well wherever you are, man.”
Likewise, Lil Durk paid his respects to the late Nigerian rapper through his Instagram story and his X handle on Tuesday.
He wrote, “RIP Mohbad, aka Imole.”
