The Nasarawa State branch of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly criticized the misrepresentation of election petition coverage in the media.
In an official statement released on Friday, Hon. Francis Orogu, the chairman of the PDP in the state, denounced the deliberate manipulation of public perception through the spread of fabricated narratives.
Orogu expressed deep concern regarding the manipulation of crucial testimonies provided by key witnesses during the ongoing governorship election petition proceedings in Lafia.
Highlighting a recurring pattern, Orogu pointed out that such tactics have been previously employed by agents representing the opposing All Progressives Congress (APC) and the incumbent state governor.
However, Orogu made it clear that the PDP will refrain from engaging in responses to deceptive allegations disseminated through government-backed propaganda channels or biased social media platforms.
