Senator Abdulaziz Yari has praised the Senate for thoroughly screening the initial batch of ministerial nominees submitted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, the nominees were closely scrutinized based on their expertise, ensuring square pegs were placed in square holes for the eventual appointments.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa, Senator Yari expressed satisfaction with the credibility and quality of the ministerial nominees.
He highlighted their competence and expertise in their respective fields, terming them “eggheads.”

The senator further emphasized that the parliament ensures the nominees are well-suited for their roles and responsibilities.
He defended the “take a bow and go” tradition for prominent citizens with a known track record. Still, he assured the public that the Senate would diligently examine the nominees’ qualifications and experience when necessary.
