President Bola Tinubu has provided reassurance to Nigerians, stating that the country will overcome the turbulence caused by the removal of the fuel subsidy. He expressed confidence in Nigeria’s ability to weather the storm and capitalize on a promising future.
He said, “We will get out of this turbulence. And, due to the measures we have taken, Nigeria will be better equipped and able to take advantage of the future that awaits her.
With swift and decisive measures, the country has already saved over a trillion Naira in just two months, which otherwise would have been wasted on an unproductive fuel subsidy that primarily benefited smugglers and fraudsters. These funds will now be redirected towards more direct and beneficial use aimed at improving the lives of the citizens and their families.
He said: “In a little over two months, we have saved over a trillion Naira that would have been squandered on the unproductive fuel subsidy, which only benefitted smugglers and fraudsters. That money will now be used more directly and more beneficially for you and your families.
“For example, we shall fulfill our promise to make education more affordable to all and provide loans to higher education students who may need them. No Nigerian student will have to abandon his or her education because of lack of money.
One of the key priorities is to make education more affordable for all, ensuring that no student is forced to abandon their studies due to financial constraints. President Tinubu emphasized the commitment to promoting the greater good for the majority of the people, a principle that will remain unwavering.
He said, “Our commitment is to promote the greatest good for the greatest number of our people. On this principle, we shall never falter.
Monitoring the effects of the exchange rate and inflation on gasoline prices, the government stands ready to intervene when necessary. The ultimate goal is to lead the nation out of darkness and into a new and promising dawn.

“I assure you, my fellow countrymen and women, that we are exiting the darkness to enter a new and glorious dawn.
President Tinubu concluded by expressing gratitude to the citizens for their attention and support, pledging to work diligently towards turning this vision into reality. He extended his blessings to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, calling for a brighter and prosperous future ahead.
