The Confederation of All APC Support Groups, a pro-APC organization, firmly maintains that only divine intervention can remove President Bola Tinubu from his position as Nigeria’s president. During a press conference held in Kaduna, the group made this declaration in response to criticisms made by Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, regarding the last presidential election.
Muhammad Kialani, the group’s Director-General, expressed displeasure at Onaiyekan’s comments, urging for the cleric’s arrest. Kialani emphasized that Onaiyekan, as a spiritual leader, should promote love and peace rather than attempt to destabilize the country.
The group vehemently disagreed with Onaiyekan’s statement that Tinubu is not yet the president until The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal confirms it. They condemned the criticism and called on Nigerians to disregard the Christian leader’s views.
Kialani highlighted that Tinubu, a Yoruba man, received substantial support during the election, even though some Yoruba figures, including Pastor Tunde Bakare and Chief Bode George, voiced their opposition.
The Confederation of All APC Support Groups firmly believes that Nigerians have spoken through their votes, and only divine intervention can alter Tinubu’s status as the country’s president. They call on all Nigerians to reject any attempts to undermine Tinubu’s presidency.
