Chief Sam Nkire, a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus, has counseled President Bola Tinubu, urging him to prioritize party growth while composing his ministerial list.
In a statement released in Abuja on Monday and reported by Vanguard, the APC stalwart emphasized the importance of reconsidering the list to carefully select individuals who will actively contribute to the advancement of both the party and the nation.
Nkire said: “It might not be in the interest of the party to include in the ministerial list those who cannot contribute to the growth of the ruling All Progressives Congress and Nigeria in general, at the Ward, Local Government, State, and Federal levels.”
“Take a final look at the list just in case he missed out on the need to grow, unite and strengthen the APC above what he met on the ground on assumption of office.”
Nkire strongly expressed his unwavering trust in President Tinubu’s capability to identify competent professionals from within the party who can effectively promote and advance the progressive principles of the ruling party nationwide.
Furthermore, he urged those who would eventually be included in the ministerial list to view themselves as representatives of the All Progressives Congress. He encouraged them to wholeheartedly pursue the party’s manifesto, which was instrumental in bringing them to power in the first place.
