Tierra Young Allen, a social media influencer, has been held in custody in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (The U.A.E.), for more than two months following her arrest on charges related to a noise violation incident. The incident occurred in April when Tierra, aged 29, was involved in a collision with a vehicle from a rental company along with a friend.
Later, Tierra returned to the company premises to retrieve her belongings, only to be presented with an unexpected bill. This led to an argument, during which Tierra raised her voice and screamed, inadvertently violating the country’s laws regarding noise in public spaces.
As a consequence of her actions, Tierra is now at risk of facing jail time for the offense. In an interview with Fox 26, Tina Baxter, Tierra’s mother, shared the distressing details of her daughter’s ordeal and expressed concern over the potential imprisonment.
“It’s very scary,” says Baxter, who explained how things took a different turn when her daughter went to the rental car company to retrieve her I.D. and credit card, amongst other items left in the car.
“She found out she could only receive those items if she paid an undisclosed amount of money. She dealt with a very aggressive individual, a young man there who was screaming at her.”
Baxter continued saying her daughter eventually yelled back, which ended in her being charged with “the crime” of screaming.
