Israel Adesanya, the Nigerian-born mixed martial arts champion, took to Twitter to share pictures of his training sessions with Mark Zuckerberg, the American tech billionaire.
This development arises in anticipation of a possible cage match between Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta (formerly Facebook and Instagram), and his competitor Elon Musk, the South African-born entrepreneur who now leads Twitter.
“We both have South Africans to deal with,” Adesanya quipped on Thursday, along with four photos of the duo training together.
The 33-year-old fighter, who relocated to New Zealand during his childhood, has a scheduled Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight fight against South African opponent Dricus du Plessis in September.

According to media reports, Adesanya traveled to Zuckerberg’s residence in northern California on Saturday to commence their training sessions.
Last month, Zuckerberg, 39, and Musk, 52, agreed to engage in a cage match, which is yet to have a confirmed date. Meanwhile, they are also involved in another battle as Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, launched an alternative to Twitter called the Threads app.
The Threads app has already attracted over 70 million users.
