The impasse surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s transfer situation could significantly shift in the coming weeks, as Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning French champions, are considering cashing in on him before his contract expires.
This decision stems from Mbappe’s refusal to sign a new contract and his intention to see out his existing agreement, which lasts until June 2024.
According to Italian media outlet Diario AS, PSG, faced with this divergence of interests, are planning to offload Mbappe and are eyeing Victor Osimhen as his potential replacement.
During the previous season, the Nigerian striker impressively scored 31 goals across all competitions, contributing to Napoli’s capture of their first Scudetto trophy in 33 years.
Osimhen also made history as the first African player to secure the Serie A Golden Boot in its 125-year existence.
The 24-year-old has expressed his desire to continue donning Napoli’s jersey in the upcoming season, a sentiment confirmed by the club’s president. However, the president has not ruled out considering offers for the striker if “an exceptional proposal” materializes.

“We are certain that Victor Osimhen will wear our shirt next season. If an exceptional proposal arrives, we will consider it and find another top talent, as we did with Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen.”
Reports indicate that Napoli is expecting any interested club to present a bid of no less than £150 million to secure the services of the former Lille striker.
PSG is well aware of the caliber of striker they desire and will make every effort to sell Mbappe, the 2018 World Cup winner, in order to engage Osimhen’s representatives in negotiations.
