During an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, the human rights lawyer expressed his concerns and urged the DSS to bring both individuals to court if there is evidence of their involvement in wrongdoing.
It should be noted that Emefiele was arrested and subsequently suspended due to allegations of terrorism financing. At the same time, the DSS reportedly questioned Bawa regarding accusations of abuse of office.
Falana emphasized that the continued detention of Emefiele and Bawa does not align with the principles of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act. He called for a swift and thorough investigation into the serious allegations that have been made, emphasizing the importance of handling their cases following the law.
