Musk, who shared the update on his Twitter page last Saturday, stated that the social media platform is implementing restrictions to combat extensive data scraping and system manipulation.
Verified accounts will have a temporary limit of 6,000 posts per day, while unverified accounts and new unverified accounts will be limited to 600 posts and 300 posts per day, respectively, regarding reading access.
He said, “To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits: – Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day – Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day – New unverified accounts to 300/day,” tweeted Musk on Saturday hours after the social media platform was suffering from a global outage.
