Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, has removed a tweet where he referred to Bola Tinubu as Mr. President.
Obi, who is contesting the victory of Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, in the February 25th election, had previously criticized the president’s 120-car convoy upon his return from France in a statement on his official Twitter account.
In the deleted tweet, Obi wrote: “There are reports of Mr. President moving with approximately 120 cars in convoy. Although I have not personally seen the mentioned video, my opinion remains the same – that leaders at all levels of government must make sacrifices for a better Nigeria.”

Later, he deleted the tweet and posted a new one where he replaced ‘120-car convoy of Mr. President’ with ‘a viral motorcade video.’
In the updated tweet, he stated: “We cannot continue to advocate for sacrifices from the people without making our sacrifices. Leaders must now lead by example, visibly and measurably, at all times because the people are enduring hardships. We must take the lead in addressing their suffering.”

Peter obi still has my heart.
I also think we have gotten to the era where leaders make sacrifices.
They may think Obi is too economical but he’s very right here
