Heightened security measures are in place at the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland’s palace, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, as traditional leaders eagerly anticipate the presence of President Bola Tinubu.
President Tinubu is scheduled to visit the Alake in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State. Subsequently, he will proceed to Ijebu-Ode to meet with the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
Our correspondent from Eyewitness9ja observed a significant presence of security personnel at the Ake palace in Abeokuta. Nigerian Army troops, Nigeria Police Force officers, Department of State Service (DSS) agents, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps personnel, among others, were stationed at the palace entrance, conducting screenings for individuals entering the premises.

Security agents were also stationed along the roads to the palace, although public transportation remained unaffected.
At the time of reporting, the Alake, other monarchs, and chiefs patiently await the president’s arrival.
