In a statement released in Abuja on Monday, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, announced the appointment of key personnel. Leke Bayeiwu, a reporter from the Punch newspaper, has been appointed as the chief press secretary, while Musa Ahmed from Daily Independent will serve as the special assistant on print media. Both individuals have been covering the House and bring valuable experience to their new roles.
The appointments were made in recognition of the effective delivery of the legislative agenda for the 10th House of Reps. The Speaker’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, conveyed this information through the statement.

Additional appointments include Jamil Muhammed as the Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), Dunkwu Chamberlain as the Deputy Chief of Staff (Legislative), and Ahmed Safana as the Special Adviser for Special Duties. The list also includes various special assistants and advisors in areas such as political matters, legal matters, legislative matters, finance, international and interparliamentary affairs, youth matters, women’s affairs, intergovernmental affairs, and the position of Principal Secretary.
The Speaker emphasized the importance of adhering to the new schedule of duties in the Office of the Speaker and urged the newly appointed personnel to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the implementation of the legislative agenda of the 10th House of Representatives. These appointments take immediate effect.
