According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United is contemplating giving Alejandro Garnacho the prestigious number 7 shirt in the team.
The 18-year-old winger debuted for the first team in April of last year against Chelsea.
Since then, Garnacho has become a regular player under the management of Erik ten Hag. Currently wearing the No.49 shirt, he performed remarkably in the previous Premier League season, scoring three goals and making notable contributions as a substitute.
Now, a promotion for the young talent is possible, as United is considering entrusting him with the coveted No. 7 shirt. Cristiano Ronaldo previously wore this shirt before his controversial departure from Old Trafford in December.
Having recently signed a five-year contract with Manchester United in April, Garnacho may soon be honored to don the legendary shirt.
