Real Madrid’s talented player, David Alaba, visited Nigeria’s prominent figure, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while the latter was in France attending the Global Financial Pact Summit hosted by President Emmanuel Macron.
President Tinubu warmly received Alaba during an engagement with Nigerians residing in France.
As a gesture, the former Bayern Munich star presented the president with his club’s jersey, eliciting enthusiastic applause from fellow Nigerians.
Born in Vienna, Austria, to Nigerian parents, Alaba has a solid connection to his Nigerian heritage. His father, George, hails from Ogere Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria, where he holds a royal title.
Despite his Nigerian roots, the versatile defender decided to represent the Austrian national team, earning 101 caps and scoring 15 goals for Austria.
