Governor Nwifuru has instructed the commissioners appointed by Umahi to leave their official residences within two weeks in Abakaliki, as stated in an announcement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Grace Umezurike, on Thursday evening.
According to Ms. Umezurike’s statement, this action aligns with Governor Francis Nwifuru’s directives. The report further requests all current residents of the commissioners’ quarters to vacate their premises promptly, allowing the new commissioners to occupy the residences.

Apologies were extended for any inconvenience caused, and the affected individuals were urged to comply with the order.
In anticipation of this action, Mr. Umahi had already authorized specific funds to assist the commissioners in acquiring or constructing new accommodations.
