22-Year-Old Nigerian Chef, Damilola Adeparusi, Aims to Surpass Hilda Baci’sBaci’s World Record in Longest Cooking Marathon Popularly known as Chef Dammy, Damilola Adeparusi has unveiled her ambitious plan to outdo Hilda Baci as the individual holding the world record for the longest cooking marathon.
Chef Dammy recently conducted a four-day ” test run” from June 11th to June 15th, during which she prepared over 100 pots of food.
Although the Guinness Book of World Records did not officially recognize her feat, she expressed that her goal was to challenge her own abilities rather than break any records.
In an interview with journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, the 300-level Mass Communication student of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) affirmed her determination to break the world record with a 150-hour cooking marathon scheduled for next month.
“I know the question surrounding many people’speople’s minds online and offline is what is next for Chef Dammy after the 120-hour cook-a-thon? What will become of Chef Dammy after the world has known her and she has been spotlighted?

“Well, Chef Dammy is open to exploration! I am open to new opportunities and new experiences in life. Now that the world knows what I am capable of doing. I think it’s high time everyone started allowing me to explore diverse ways and capabilities,” she said.
Guinness World Records
In response to the speculations surrounding her non-registration for the recently concluded cooking event, Chef Dammy and her team have resolved to embark on a fresh and exciting challenge.
“After the support, I have received from fans, well-wishers, and many highly notable individuals in society. I, Adeparusi Damilola, popularly known as Chef Dammy, and my team has decided to hold another cook-a-thon program next month.
“This time, it will be held for a 150-hour and duly registered with Guinness World Records. Chef Dammy is coming back,” she said.
Despite facing initial resistance from those who perceived her challenge to Hilda as a threat, Chef Dammy has started to receive endorsements from various individuals.
The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, commended Chef Dammy for her efforts and encouraged her to stay focused on her goal of breaking the world record for the longest cooking marathon. Mr. Aribasoye advised her to prioritize her aspirations over the criticisms she may encounter, particularly on social media.
Furthermore, a Nigerian doctor named Ayo Arojo has supported Chef Dammy by offering her a sum of N500,000. He also pledged to take her on a cooking tour in the United States to encourage her.
