Upon assuming office, Tajudeen Abbas, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has established seven special committees to oversee legislative activities. In an announcement on Thursday in Abuja, the Speaker revealed the formation of these committees.
The committees comprise the Internal Security Committee, which will be under the leadership of Representative Mohammed Danjuma. The Selection Committee, headed by the Speaker himself, and the Media Committee, led by Representative Buka Ibrahim, are also part of the newly formed committees.

Additionally, there is the Legislative Agenda Committee, chaired by Professor Julius Ihonbvare, and the Rules and Business Committee, led by Representative Igariwey Iduma. Furthermore, Representative Wale Raji will head the Welfare Committee, and Representative Tunji Olawuyi will chair the Ethics and Privileges Committee.
