Rauf Aregbesola, the former Minister of Interior and ex-governor of Osun State has reiterated the importance of bolstering the political foundation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State.
During a reception held in Osogbo as part of his homecoming celebrations on Saturday, Aregbesola emphasized the significance of party members consolidating their support in the state.
He stated, “I am immensely grateful to all of you. Your exceptional love, backing, unity of purpose, and reassurance have been demonstrated today. We are grateful, and we will not disappoint you.
Soon, we will embark on a statewide tour to visit all our people and assure them that we are fully committed to their welfare. We are wholeheartedly dedicated to strengthening the APC.”
Aregbesola also expressed his appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the homecoming event, including the people of Osun, the State Government led by Governor Ademola Adeleke, traditional rulers, groups, and associations. He acknowledged their unwavering support for him and his ideology.
At the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park in Osogbo on Wednesday, Aregbesola stated his return aimed at restructuring the APC in Osun State. He lamented the mismanagement of the party’s affairs by specific individuals, which resulted in its decline.
