President Bola Tinubu is in a private meeting with four former governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde. The meeting is taking place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The group of former governors, commonly called the G-5 governors and Governor Seyi Makinde, arrived at the State House at approximately 4:21 pm and proceeded directly to the President’s office.

In addition to Seyi Makinde, the other former governors attending the meeting as part of the G-5 are Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.
It is worth noting that Wike has made multiple visits to the State House within one week.
Recall that during the February 25 presidential election, the G-5 governors, as they were then known, did not support their party’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in his bid for the presidency.
