Lionel Messi Reportedly Requests Al-Hilal to Delay Move Until 2024, Goal Reveals
According to reports from Goal, Lionel Messi has made a special request to Al-Hilal, asking them to postpone his potential move until 2024.
It is believed that Messi’s representatives conveyed this request during a meeting with the Saudi Arabian club on Monday.
In response, Al-Hilal informed Messi that if they were to make an offer next year, it would differ from the current £435 million per year deal that is on the table.
Jorge Messi, the 35-year-old’s father and agent, recently met with Barcelona officials and confirmed that his son is eager to return to the club.
Having become a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, Messi reportedly longs for an emotional reunion with Barcelona, now under the guidance of his former teammate, Xavi Hernandez.
