Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State Continues to Reclaim Public Properties, Revokes Sales of Hasiya Bayero Paediatric Hospital and Governor’s Lodge.
In his ongoing efforts to recover public assets that were unlawfully sold during the previous administration in the state, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has taken a decisive step by revoking the sales of Hasiya Bayero Paediatric Hospital and the Governor’s lodge situated at Kwankwasiyya city, effective immediately.
Accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking government officials, Governor Yusuf personally inspected the two locations and directed the prompt renovation of the healthcare facility.
He emphasized the need to resume operations as a specialist hospital, providing essential medical services to hundreds of thousands of children from within the state and beyond.
In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, the Governor expressed his deep dissatisfaction with how the previous government had sold these properties to their cronies for personal gain. Governor Yusuf remains committed to rectifying such injustices and restoring these assets to public use.
According to the statement, “As promised during electioneering processions, we will not relent in reclaiming public properties either mis-managed or sold via shoddy deal and what was reclaimed would be judiciously utelize for the benefit of people of the state.

“I am at this juncture announcing the revoking of the sales of Hasiya Bayero Paediatric hospital and the Governor’s lodge at Kwankwasiyya city that is hosting the office of Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON). The health facility should be renovated and revert to its operations of health care delivery to children,” the statement said.
