The governor issued an order instructing all commissioners, special advisers, and chief executives of parastatals—including those employed by government-owned corporations and other political appointees—to turn over control to the permanent secretaries and directors of administration and general services in their respective organizations.
The governor ordered that by May 26, all government assets belonging to the appointees be turned over to permanent secretaries, directors of administration and general services, and directors of personnel management.
The governor also instructed them to copy their handover notes and submit them to the state government secretary’s office.
