China’s National Energy Administration chief, Zhang Jianhua, has praised the high-level energy discussion that has taken place between China and the OPEC members.
Mr. Jianhua said that the discussions had mutually preserved the stability of the world oil market.
He revealed this at the sixth high-level meeting of the OPEC-China Energy Dialogue, which he co-chaired with Mr. Haitham Al Ghais, the secretary-general of OPEC.
Zhang said the conversations helped jointly consolidate and grow oil commerce between China and OPEC member countries, which was of shared interest to both parties, in a statement by OPEC.
He referred to OPEC and China as crucial geopolitical allies.
