Naira Hits Low of N460 Against the US Dollar, Reflecting Weak Start to the Week

On Monday, the Naira lost value against the dollar and traded for N464 in the window for investors and exporters.

Compared to the N462.33 it traded at the close of business on May 12, the rate indicated a drop of 0.36 percent.

On Monday, the open indicative rate reached N463.50 to the dollar.

Trading took place at a spot exchange rate of N467 throughout the day until it settled at N464.

The spot exchange rate was established immediately.

During the day’s trade, the Naira fell as low as N460 to the US dollar.

At the official Investors’ and Exporters’ window, $55.10 million in trades were made.
