Lionel Messi’s suspension from Paris Saint-Germain due to his unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia has ended, and coach Christophe Galtier has confirmed that the Argentinian superstar will start in Saturday’s Ligue 1 game against Ajaccio.
“Yes, Leo is going to start tomorrow,” Galtier told an eve-of-match press conference.
“Obviously, I’ve spoken to him; he’s very relaxed, really keen to play, and very determined to claim another French league title.”

As PSG’s hopes for a record 11th Ligue 1 title remain, and their exit from the Champions League, Messi’s appearance at the Parc des Princes on Saturday will likely be one of his last. After a lackluster two-year spell in France, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner is reportedly considering a lucrative deal to play in Saudi Arabia next season, where he could reunite with former rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite the lack of confirmation from his agent, father, Jorge, or the club itself, all indications suggest that Messi’s departure from PSG is imminent.
