Nigeria’s U-17 team, the Golden Eaglets, suffered a heart-wrenching 2-1 loss to Burkina Faso in the quarter-final of the 2022/2023 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
Aboubacar Camara was the hero for the Junior Stallions, netting two goals to put his team in a comfortable lead. Although Abubakar Abdullahi managed to pull one back for Nigeria midway through the second half, it was too little too late as the Eaglets failed to find the equalizer.
