In Abuja, the presidential election petition tribunal has begun to hear cases.
Recall that the pronouncement of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the February 25 presidential election is being contested by Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, and his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
According to DAILY POST, Atiku is requesting that the court compel the electoral board to hold a new election in response to alleged anomalies at voting locations during the presidential election.
According to Obi, Tinubu could not obtain the majority of valid votes, or one-fourth of the vote in the Federal Capital Territory, or FCT.
In addition, he said that Tinubu and his running companion, Kashim Shettima, lacked the qualifications to stand for election.
