On May 22, President Buhari will officially open the Dangote Refinery in Lagos State.
Bashir Ahmad, Buhari’s special adviser for digital communications, revealed this.
The 650,000 barrels per day refinery, according to Ahmad, would support efforts by the Federal Government to make Nigeria self-sufficient.

Ahmad tweeted: “Efforts by the Federal Government to make Nigeria self-sufficient in local crude oil refining to conserve the limited foreign exchange utilized to import petroleum products have got a boost as the 650,000 barrels per day of local crude oil refining capacity has been reached. The biggest single-train refinery in the world, the Dangote Refinery, will officially open on May 22, 2023, by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The launch of the refineries was announced by the Dangote Group, according to Eyewitness9ja.
