The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is now in power, is attempting to sway the judiciary in the case of the ongoing presidential election lawsuit that is before it.
The party encouraged the court to uphold its constitutional obligations as an independent and unbiased arbitrator and not yield to APC coercion.
At a press conference on Sunday in Abuja, opposition party spokesperson Debo Ologunagba sounded the alarm.

The APC and President-elect Bola Tinubu, according to Mr. Ologunagba, have been moving steadily to influence justices at the tribunal through significant cash inducements.
The PDP claimed that the conspirators were also planning to stage false accusations of improper behavior against impartial judges.
Mr. Ologunagba warned the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against taking actions that would make it more difficult for the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to administer justice in the case in line with the law.
“Only upholding the people’s decision, as stated at the Polling Places on the February 25, 2023, Presidential election, can ensure peace, unity, and stability in our country.
“The PDP is confident in the ability of the judiciary to discharge its constitutional duties in this regard independently,” stated Mr. Ologunagba.
